I had a group of kids at a bike awareness talk today… and they showed this video. It fooled me. You see what you look for i guess!

>We had dentists appointments followed by swimming lessons yesterday afternoon. Anyhow, when we were waiting for Frankie’s turn to finish up at the dentist, Bee asked me if i ever took swimming lessons as a kid so I said yes! Then she asked me what level i got to and I told her that i got through all the levels and became a lifeguard at the pool when i was in college. She then asked me if i was also a dentist in college. ha ha. In case you are wondering, no cavities! Here are the girls at swimming!

Bee and i did a taste test this morning. We closed our eyes and tried berries from the garden and from the store. Here is what Bee reported: “Strawberry A is jucier and yummier” and “strawberry B tastes OK but not as good.” And now, the answer….

So 3 years ago we planted strawberries. The first year we had abut 2 or 3 strawberries. Last year we dont really know how many made it to the juicy red stage because we were in scotland. this year we have probably over 100 that are good or getting reading for the picking. Still, we have more that have been eaten by birds, critters or dogs, and so we’re not sure it’s worth the garden space. But for now we are enjoying those we have picked for the family. We still have a ton more to ripen… and they look like they will be ready in the next few days! Here are some we are enjoying today!

It’s the Beech St Unicorns versus the Bull Creek Koompas! The Unicorns won by a score of 4 – 3. It was a nail biter. The Bull Creek Koompa’s kept getting called on charges because Cho Cho kept eating the ball.

Happy Birthday Frankie!!! (OK it was yesterday but every time i tried to post blogger was down!). We had a great birthday. After school we headed over to the children’s garden where Frankie and Bee got to hold some baby turtles. Then we headed over to the MSU Dairy store. Yum!!!

>First i know the blog is messed up. This is a temporary background till we can fix it.

I cant believe we are so delayed in posting athlete of the week from the first week in may! The winner is…..

Kevin!!

Here he is crashing into Spartan Stadium wrapping up his first 5k of the season, in the rain no less!! It was no ordinary 5k. Look at the obstacles he had to get by! Go Kevin!!!!!!!!

>Frankie is so proud to be a kindergartener (almost). Well, considering yesterday was step up day, she considers herself now officially a Marble Muscrat!
And, while we were at Marble, we saw this great piece of artwork hanging in the wall! If you take a close look at the picture you will see the artists signature!

Goes to Bee! She’s done 10 miles so far in the Marble Mileage Club. That earned her a spot on the mileage club board in the main hallway of the school. Her first grade classroom is in 3rd place for the whole school! Beginning about 5 and a half weeks ago, every M-W-F at last recess the kids have the option of running laps around the field (1/4 mile per lap). Each lap they get their club card punched. Twenty punches = 5 miles or 1 toe token. Mileage club ends at the end of the month. We told her if she ran 15 miles (that equals 3 punch cards) she would earn her first American Girl Doll. (She has been asking for one for over a year and all of her friends have one). She has been plugging away at the miles. We picked a hard goal but one that is not impossible. She averages 3 laps a day, but lately has been doing 4. It is really is a nail biter. She has about 4 days of mileage club left and needs to do 11 more laps, and we know she can do it, if it doesnt rain…GO BEE GO!!!
